With more than 8 thousand employees and a presence in 22 states of the Mexican Republic, Grupo Restaurantero Gigante (GRG) —belonging to the Grupo Gigante family —has positioned itself as one of the largest in the country. Among the brands it operates are: Beer Factory & Food, Panda Express, El Farolito, Restaurantes Toks and Shake Shack; and it is the latter where one of the most recent examples of the group's commitment has been given, which has been awarded among the winning companies of the XXIII Edition of the Recognition of Best CSR Practices by CEMEFI .
There were three practices highlighted in three different categories:
Cross-Sector Alliances: Shake Shack Animal Welfare Practice .
Quality of life in the company: Anti Workplace Harassment Project .
Sustainable environmental management: Toks Forest .
Each of them has involved the Chile Mobile Number List effort of the group and each brand, so this award is triple and is for everyone. If you want to know what each of the aforementioned initiatives is about and why they are so relevant to contributing to sustainable development, keep reading and celebrate this responsible commitment that GRG continues to demonstrate in every bite you taste in its brands.
What is CSR Best Practices” by CEMEFI?
Better known as CEMEFI, the Mexican Center for Philanthropy AC is a community of organizations, organizations and people committed to generating fair social change, in a collaborative manner. Its purpose is to enable and activate citizen responsibility to generate social value, centered on people.

In addition, the association has 19 Regional Allies that promote its programs in 20 states of the country.
So in the search for mechanisms to promote a new culture of socially responsible businesses, 23 years ago, CEMEFI created the Recognition of Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility.
This was the first project in Mexico to distinguish companies that implement initiatives and programs that demonstrate to contribute to the social, economic and environmental sustainability of the company and its stakeholders.

3 GRG Best CSR Practices recognized by CEMEFI
1. Shake Shack Animal Welfare Practice
As a participant and winner in the “Intersector Alliances” category, Shake Shack, a “Fine Casual” restaurant chain dedicated to the sale of hamburgers and milkshakes, is giving a great example of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) thanks to Shake Shack Animal Welfare . Through it, the brand advocates zero tolerance for animal abuse. And to contribute to the cause, it has been responsible for implementing more humane, ethical and sustainable internal and external processes for strict surveillance in the raising of animals for human consumption.
It should be noted that animal abuse is a series of behaviors that cause unnecessary pain or stress to animals. These range from negligence, care, torture or even intentional death. In fact, Mexico has ranked third in the world in cases of animal abuse.
